Horizon High School hospitality students participated in a field trip to Four Seasons Resort as part of an industry partnership supporting career and technical education.

During the visit, students heard from guest speakers representing multiple departments across the resort, who shared insights into their career paths, roles, and responsibilities within the hospitality industry. Students then took part in a guided property tour in small groups.

The tour included pool and recreation areas, the spa, kitchens, employee workspaces, and behind-the-scenes operational areas, as well as a visit to the Presidential Suite. Students also met Disney characters and were hosted for lunch by the resort’s catering department.

This experience followed a prior classroom visit from the Four Seasons human resources assistant director and reflects a growing partnership between Four Seasons Resort and Horizon High School’s hospitality and culinary programs.

As part of this collaboration, Four Seasons has offered three paid summer internships exclusively for Horizon students. These opportunities will be tailored to individual students and coordinated in partnership with the CTE internship coordinator.

In addition, the Four Seasons catering department recently raised funds to support the Horizon Hospitality program. The donation will be used to purchase uniforms for future hospitality competitions.

Orange County Public Schools and Horizon High School appreciate Four Seasons Resort’s continued support and commitment to student learning and workforce development.
