COVID 19 INFORMATION
COVID 19 VACCINATION EXCEPTION FOR EMPLOYEES:
This exception supports the OCPS agreement that allows fully vaccinated employees, or employees with an approved reasonable accommodation, to be eligible for up to five (5) days of COVID-19 related paid Medical Relief of Duty through December 31, 2022.
OCPS strongly encourages staff to consider the vaccine in consultation with your health advisor. OCPS is aware, however, that certain employees may be unable to receive a COVID 19 vaccination. Employees may submit a vaccination exception for one of two reasons:
- A medical reason or
- A sincerely held religious belief, practice or observance that prohibits vaccination.
Employees should review and submit the Employee Covid 19 Vaccine Exception Request Process and Form
Employees who were granted a COVID-19 Vaccine Exception last school year will automatically have their exception extended until December 31, 2022 and do NOT need to reapply.
COVID-19 REMOTE WORK REQUESTS
The ability to work remotely will not be granted as a workplace accommodation for COVID 19. All employees are expected to report to their work locations for their scheduled work assignments. This is consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act and guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Onsite employees can request additional Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at their location, or request to take a Leave of Absence in accordance with School Board Policies GCC and GDC.
The ADA Office through the Office of Legal Services oversees and coordinates the Reasonable Accommodation process on behalf of the District. If you are an individual with a disability and would like to initiate the ADA Reasonable Accommodation Process, please visit ADA Accommodation Request.
