Water Safety

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, each public school shall provide information to parents on the important role water safety education and swimming lessons play in saving lives. Per statute, this information is for parents who initially enroll their child in school. The information must be provided electronically or in hard copy. Additionally, if the student is between 18 - 21 years of age and is enrolling in adult education classes, the information must also be provided to the student.

OCPS families can access water safety information at health.ocps.net. Additional information will be provided to school registrars through Student Enrollment and CTE (Career and Technical Education) departments.
