Recognizing Interpersonal Violence
Interpersonal violence can take different forms and may involve behavior that makes someone feel unsafe, threatened, controlled, or harmed.
- Dating violence may include physical or sexual violence, emotional abuse, threats, isolation, or controlling behavior.
- Domestic violence may include physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, or economic abuse, threats, or property damage.
- Stalking may include repeated unwanted contact, following someone, unwanted messages, threats, or behavior that creates fear.
- Sexual assault includes non-consensual sexual acts.
